LPM signs extension with Kongsberg A/S.
LPM Quality Associates has signed a contract extension with the Norwegian aerospace company Kongsberg A/S.
Building on the company’s efforts during the past year, LPM have secured a contract extension running until the end of 2012 as Kongsberg look to exploit the skillset and experience offered by LPM.
Working within the quality function, and continuing the efforts and accomplishments during the past year, LPM will provide further Nadcap experience together with a more broader quality improvement approach that will be used to assist Kongsberg become a world class manufacture of aerospace based composite components and assemblies.

LPM launch major rebrand.
The new brand identity will reflect LPMs commitment to provide the very best business support services in order to meet its client’s needs. The new tagline ‘profitability requires continual improvement’ illustrates that LPM is there to support and understand its clients. Subtle changes have been made to the firm’s logo to reflect its current image.
The company name has changed from LPM Engineering to LPM Quality Associates, this better identifies the business within its main field of expertise; the delivery of quality improvements. The new website (www.lpm.org.uk) which also launches on the same day will seek to increase LPMs online presence and help to communicate with current as well as prospective clients.
LPM will officially unveil its new brand to clients and contacts on Wednesday and will also showcase the firms newly acquired offices and training facility based at the Cheadle Royal Business Park, Cheadle. It has been another exciting few months for LPM with Senior Associate, Paul Johnson, joining the business in March.
Commenting on LPM’s rebrand, Managing Director, Lee Moffatt said;
“It is important that LPM retains its established values but at the same time develops a new and modern identity. The rebranding exercise will ensure that we get the right message out there. We feel it’s important to let people know what LPM stands for and our new tagline signifies the commitment. The landscape for manufacturing in the UK and further afield is rapidly changing and we recognise the need for change.”

Double success at LPM
LPM Quality Associates has secured additional contracts to supply both ISO 9001 implementation and ongoing support to two Northwest based precision engineering businesses.
The deals represent a solid start for Paul Johnson, senior associate, who joined the business in March of this year. The deals bolsters LPMs portfolio of SME’s signing up to their ongoing support packages, introduced in part by Paul’s foresight and understanding of the current economic climate and the need for SME’s to gain and retain accreditations.
Speaking of the deal, Paul Johnson said;
“I’m excited about the future here at LPM and hope that I, with the company, can grow, succeed and further develop our clients to meet and exceed their expectations, and that of their customers”.

LPM signs agreement with Norwegian Aerospace giant Kongsberg A/S.
LPM Engineering has signed agreement to develop & introduce Nadcap within Kongsbergs’ composites division at their new high tech manufacturing facility.
Working closely with Kongsbergs’ manufacturing and systems processes, LPM will conduct a site wide analysis to benchmark currently methodology, and understand the way forward with regards to the development and implementation of the Nadcap requirement.
The 12 month deal cements LPM’s goal of becoming an internationally recognised service provider within the field of quality, and builds on their recent international success in Denmark. Managing Director Lee Moffatt comments “The original goal of the business was to develop a local close nit network of customers, but early on it was clear that the demand for our high standard of service is required from many countries and encompasses various business sectors”.
Regarding Nadcap Lee stated “Nadcap is becoming an ever increasing demand on Aerospace suppliers, Nadcap is here and it’s starting to develop into as big an entity as other regulatory requirements. As manufacturing technology advances, Special Processes will become more and more intertwined with the business”.
